Mkukuta Outputs (2000 - 2005)

The monitoring system in Tanzania generates a range of key reports that are included here. These are divided into two time periods which coincide with the phases of national strategies as follows:

1. 2000-2004, the Poverty Reduction Strategy phase
2. 2004-2010, the MKUKUTA design and implementation phase (second-generation PRS)

National Monitoring Master Plans have, and continue, to guide the monitoring of MKUKUTA during these phases. The Poverty Monitoring Master Plan (2001-2004) came first, followed by a revised approach described in the MKUKUTA Monitoring Master Plan (2005-2010). Both are available on this web site; and both describe the objectives of the system as well as the institutional arrangements, and national indicators.

The main products from the MKUKUTA monitoring are summarized in the following table (further details are in the MKUKUTA Monitoring Master Plan).
